This week, I’ll share one of my oldest songs. I guess I don’t have too much to say about this one; it wasn’t written for any specific personal reason, I just wrote it…well, to just write it. I even had a music video for it planned out in my head. Something about a guy riding his motorcycle through the forest, when he spins out and crashes in a fiery explosion off the side of the road. An angel pulls him out and rescues him, and they go on to have a torrid love affair — but she can’t stay, and by the end of the video she’s gone and he’s all depressed. (Yet alive!)

lyrics:
Nothing but a messed-up man
Living life the best I can
What is it I’m looking for?
Is it true?
Could it be you?
Or is it something more?CHORUS:
Can you see inside my soul?
Can you reach inside my mind?
Are you free to come and see me anytime?
What you see, I’d like to know
Won’t you tell me what you find?
You can run in, come in, jump in anytimeI wonder, was it I
The one who made you cry?
So now you say goodbye
Sitting down,
My thoughts rebound,
Forever wonder whyCHORUS
I’ll leave it all behind
But only if I try
That night you said goodbye
Sitting bound
In grief I’ve found
Alone until I dieCHORUS
